FIRE ALARM

We were awoken at 3:05 a.m. to the sound of our fire alarm telling us it's time to change the battery. I don't know why it couldn't tell us at 3:05 p.m. And to make matters worse, it was the alarm in Noah's bedroom. First we actually had to narrow down which alarm in the house needed the battery changed, which took 20 minutes. Then Ryan had to get the 12 foot ladder out of the garage and finagle it through the narrow halls and into Noah's room. Surprisingly Noah only stirred while the alarm beeped in his room, but of course he was fully awake once the ladder was put up in his room. I never fell back asleep, and it took Noah a bit as well. My new invention idea - a clock built into the alarm so it knows to beep at the appropriate time.

Isn't that just the way it always seems to happen? Noah was probably wondering about his parents too! Why are these guys up so early? Is he trying to adjust to the new early hours?

No one ever changes the batteries once a year. We all go until the batteries are totally used up. Everything else is going wireless internet, why not low battery notification?
