Noah is 15 months and has still been taking a bottle for his milk. I've tried a handful of times to break the bottle habit with no luck, nor did I push it since I enjoy having bottle time with my son. Noah does drink juice out of a sippy cup without problems, so you'd think it would be an easy transition. Noooooooooooo it's not.
We started this past Saturday cold turkey - no milk in a bottle, just sippy cup. We're 0 for 9. It's tantrum city - he throws himself on the floor, full cry and hits his head on the floor, couch, my leg, etc.
This is the battle of the wills! Noah knows what color of liquid is supposed to be in a sippy cup. If it's colored, it's juice. If it's white, it's milk. Meaning, he'll take his sippy cup immediately when he sees the "appropriate" color. Switch it suddenly, and in an instance you'd think we're torturing our kid. Wow!
We made a little progress this morning. No immediate crying, and he held the cup up to his lips. After that, tantrum. I'll try to get a video of him in action.

It's always a battle making a switch, change your sippy cup!! Get an opaque one where he can't tell the color of what's inside. Smaller amounts more often of milk, juice, water, bourbon, (skip that, that's for me).
