HI . . .

My name is Elisha and I'm a chocoholic. I have eaten my second bag of new mint crisp M&M's by myself. Each bag took me about 24 hours to eat, and I can't keep going down this path. It's one thing when I eat a dark chocolate bar by myself - at least that's chock full of antioxidants (I'm good at rationalizing), but my latest binge is uncalled for.

So today is my first day of very carefully and very slowly ridding my body of sugar. Today I will not drink any soda (I've been drinking a few more here and there during the week, when not too long ago I wouldn't drink any (stupid Target sales) or eat my morning Kashi bar. These bars aren't that bad for you - actually they offer a lot of fiber and protein, which can keep you going. However, they have sugar, so instead I will eat a handful of almonds as my mid-morning snack.

If any of you wish to join me on this outrageous task, please feel free to email me and we can go through this together. We can offer support, vent when we go through withdrawal and praise each other when we accomplish ridding our bodies of a product cancerous cells feed off of.

For those of you who want no part of this, these mint crisp M&M's (promo product for the Indiana Jones movie) taste just like Girl Scout thin mint cookies. Yum! Knock yourself out. CAUTION: I did get a headache during both binges.
