We did some research, and besides setting a trap, predator urine might be a way to get rid of it. So I called Bass Pro Shop and here's the conversation:
Me: Uh, we have an armadillo tearing up our yard. I heard coyote urine can help. Do you carry that?
BPS: Let me check. People also use fox urine and I think it's running low since many people are having problems with them. Long pause . . . We're out of fox urine, but we have a few cans left of coyote urine.
Me: That's great. How much does the urine cost? Will coyotes flock to my yard now?
BPS: Do you live in the country or something? It's about 9 bucks a can.
Me: No, we live in the metroplex, but in a more wooded area off the beaten path down by the river. Thanks for your help. We'll be there shortly (to buy a can of urine!).
So Ryan, Noah and I headed to Bass Pro Shop to buy us a can of urine. My dad says I've been to the one in Missouri when I was a wee thing, but I don't remember. This is not my area of expertise nor a lifestyle I lead - outdoorsiness. So to me, this was an adventure. I packed up the camera and started documenting our battle.
Ah, wait for me?

Before it all begins.

I just can't believe they have a section called this.

Ryan holding the urine.

It's actually a spray can of urine.

Do we need to buy something now to take the scent off us? Coyotes might start following Ryan to work.
